Environmental Policy

ContiTech Beattie is committed to the preservation of the environment in which we operate and live. In order to achieve this commitment we shall seek to implement and achieve accreditation for an environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO14001.

ContiTech Beattie is further committed to a process of continual environmental performance improvement. The company shall ensure that all personnel, including third party personnel working on or visiting ContiTech Beattie facilities, are informed of and are required to comply with all company environmental policies and procedures. Without exception everyone is responsible for their actions.

The company intends to conduct all operations in a manner that:

Complies with all relevant laws, regulations and policies while anticipating the implications of forthcoming legislation.

Sets, monitors, and reviews environmental objectives and targets that prevent pollution using techniques of continuous improvement.

Promotes energy and water conservation by efficient use, careful planning and design with due regard to improved utilisation and appropriate investment in efficient control measures.

Minimises waste and ensure that there is effective control, which promotes recycling where possible and provides responsible disposal, particularly with regard to hazardous wastes.

Considers the environmental approaches of contractors and suppliers.

Shares the policy with all of our employees providing training on environmental issues increasing awareness and responsibility.

Communicates our findings with all interested parties and ensure that this policy is open to public opinion.

Ensures this policy is documented, implemented and maintained.
