A crude oil offloading system developed for vessels operating with a DICAS mooring system or similar, where the FPSO is moored in a permanent position in one direction with no adverse weather conditions.
The chute offloading system developed by ContiTech Beattie Limited is a fully integrated design with a hose handling system and high integral control that is fully compatible with the dynamic deployment and recovery of OCIMF floating or catenary offloading hose. The system is designed for installation on board FPSO vessels and for transfer of crude oil to a shuttle tanker fitted with bow loading systems or similar, while the shuttle tanker is moored to the vessel, bow-to-bow or stern-to-bow.
Two versions of the system are available, a single discharge system where the deployment of the OCIMF hose and offloading of crude oil is from the FPSO only or a double discharge system where the deployment of the OCIMF hose and transfer of crude oil is from the FPSO. The chute system can operate with either a catenary or floating OCIMF hose of a single or double carcass construction. The offloading system will incorporate a shuttle tanker mooring system operable alongside the offloading system. The mooring system will be used to deploy, anchor and retrieve a mooring hawser line.
When fully deployed and anchored, the hawser line will connect the FPSO and shuttle tanker to prevent drift off during offloading operations. The crude oil transfer system will store, connect, deploy and retrieve the offloading hose. The equipment will be mounted on the deck of the vessel comprising, full length of OCIMF offloading hose, storage/guide chute assembly and hose handling equipment |
