ContiTech Beattie Limited is recognised world-wide as an innovative designer and manufacturer of high quality and technically advanced fluid transfer components applying its technology within the business areas of Offshore (both topside and subsea), Onshore, Petrochemical, Marine and Power Generation. The Company initially began trading over 45 years ago as a manufacturer of a complete range of high-pressure fittings and self-sealing couplings for the Hydraulic and Pneumatics Industry.
From its conception the Company has always been involved in design, research and development and many of these efforts have been directed towards the needs of the Offshore, Extractive and Marine Industries where durable and intrinsically safe products are essential. An early customer of ContiTech Beattie was the National Coal Board of Great Britain for whom the Company designed and manufactured a range of products in the early 1950's for use on critical applications such as roof supports and lift support systems.
From this initial concept, the Company has developed into an organisation capable of offering either stand-alone or fully integrated systems; from a comprehensive range of flexible hose assemblies to complete fluid transfer systems. ContiTech Beattie takes the responsibility from conceptual design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning, through to user training and life cycle maintenance of the product. The Company, which is now a fully owned subsidiary of Continental AG, has modern manufacturing facilities at its Ashington headquarters and also in Aberdeen, and has recently made significant investments in new warehousing facilities and in modern CNC machining technology.
